Finally! At last! Not only has summer come, but great things are happening on WYWL.

KICKSTARTER DEADLINE FAST APPROACHES
There is still time to donate to our Kickstarter. Deadline is JULY 18! We’ve raised almost $1000 so far, and but still have almost $2400 left to raise, so roll your carts our way and help support the project. Thanks to all that have supported WYWL this far – it truly is appreciated.

OUR FILM WINS 4CULTURE GRANT!!!
This week While You Weren’t Looking became the proud recipient of a 4Culture 2011 Individual Artist Projects grant! Thanks to the support of state legislature and a program through a portion of the King Count Lodging Tax, 4Culture was able to continue their funding of a variety of artistic projects like ours. Out of 314 applicants there were only 72 selected for this grant and we could not have done this without your continued support. Thanks to 4Culture, we are well on our way to completing this project, and we have the funding we need to shoot in the fall.

LOCATION HUNT UPS AND DOWN
The search for a grocery store playland for Daylen continues. Our first location fell through when Bernie & Boys in Burien sadly closed down due to bankruptcy. We have high hopes and are looking into potential locations in and around the Seattle metropolitan area and Eastern Washington. We’re also seriously exploring the possibility of rebuilding the Bernie and Boys space for our film, giving us loads of creative and scheduling freedom.

If you have any leads that can help, either on the grocery store side or building a movie grocery store, let us know!

PARTYPARTYPARTY
Finally, keep your ears peeled for a kick-off party in early Fall.

Much love and excitement,

the WYWL team
