Meet Bernie and Boys, the first grocery store to say ‘yes’ to filming a short movie inside. More than just yes, the incomparable manager Joe said ‘do whatever you want, whenever you want it’.  About knocked me for a loop, I think my jaw is still on the floor somewhere in there.

But I did have the best kind of introduction. We’d recently shot there for The Off Hours (a soon-to-be-released feature film best described as ‘beauty and truth’) and director Megan Griffiths assured me they were the best kind of people. One mention of her name was all it took for Joe to open up his arms and say come on in.  Granted, I think Joe is one of those rare individuals that helps anyone that asks him, but I have to give much love to Megan and The Off Hours crew for their discovery, and for being such inspiring filmmakers.

There’s much work to do to vet out the location and make sure it’s going to work for our team’s vision, but its a real grocery store, and it’s really available for us!!

Now, full speed ahead fundraising!!!!
